BAMBURGH BERWICK AND HOLY ISLAND

Stevenage, Peterborough (0704/2120), Grantham, Newark, Retford, Doncaster (0805/2030) and York.

A repeat of our popular day out by service train which includes return travel to Berwick upon Tweed (with a change at York), coach transfer to Holy Island with a break of around three hours, time to visit the castle, the priory, take lunch and perhaps purchase some wine or mead from the local produce store.

We also visit Bamburgh and include admission to the castle with its museum and wonderful position overlooking the North Sea.

There will also be a little free time in Berwick before joining the 1813 East Coast train for the return trip.
